The Ford F-150 Lightning Receives Increased Range

September 16th, 2022 by

The F-150 Lightning is Ford’s first all-electric truck, and it’s a big hit with consumers. So much so that many drivers haven’t been able to get their hands on one due to backorders. But now Ford is finally shipping out more models, and drivers are in for a bit of a surprise.

Now, drivers of Selmer, TN, who buy the F-150 Lightning will find a boost to its standard battery, as it receives a new estimated range of 240 miles. Buyers will also receive Pro Trailer Hitch Assist technology. To learn more about the Ford F-150 lightning and what it offers, visit Jones Ford today.

Increase to Battery Life

In the fall, ProXLT, and Lariat trims for Lightning models will be built with the standard range battery, which gets an estimated range of 240 miles. This is up slightly from the previous version, which received a range of 230 miles.

What is Pro Trailer Hitch Assist?

The Pro Trailer Hitch Assist is an industry first. This system automatically controls steering, throttle, and brake inputs to make hitching trailers much easier. Drivers from Muscle Shoals, AL, who are interested in this feature will find it as an available option on the Tow Technology Package, which is available on Pro, XLT and Lariat trim. Though it is standard on certain Lariat and Platinum models.

Cost Increase

Due to the rise in material costs, Ford is adjusting the MSRP for the F-150 Lightning. While this price hike will affect new buyers, it will not affect those who have already placed an order prior to this price adjustment.
